I have a 3000 watt Honda generator. Need to replace my air compressor. My main use for it is my pro-jacks. Not really using air wrenches just blowing out fuel system etc.....

I would like something on wheels to roll out when at the track. There are so many options and most are Chinese built I am sure.

Let me know what is working for you with 3K gen.

Get a oil less unit. I had a husky for 5 years. Would run sander for clutch and grinder for emergencies. Pro jacks blow gun impacts. Never was problem. It was a 4.5 hp unit

I was just going through this issue myself. I bought a champion 3100 inverter. nice and quiet. I had a 1.5 hp 20 gallon air compressor. the small generator is not big enough to start it. I tried both the 20 gallon and 8 gallon husky air compressors from home depot. both 1.5 hp, and the generator is still too small. Im going to buy a .8 hp 6 gallon that should work. I just use it for my tires. Electric pro jacks may be the best thing I ever bought. generator operates them no problem.

    pump

Dave, does this mean you just need to make sure you stop the pump when the cylinders are fully extended? are yours junk or repairable? maybe we can talk about this May 23 at the track....
