Cost of a display car???

    Anyone ever bought a display car??

    Display only, not ever looking to get it re-certed.

    Could be either an alcohol or fuel car.

    Wouldnt have to run but basically look like it could.

    Ball park guess on cost to buy one?

    You can easily spend 15k on an engine that looks good. Car would cost about the same, so you should be able to do it for 25 or 30 K.

    display me

    am doing one now. got the chassis for free when somebody was making room in the shop. so far i have spent very little on junk to bolt to this car. nobody says you have to have guts in the motor,or they have to be good, so the motor is empty, the blower empty,rear end, etc. all the drag racer pack rats never throw even junk away, so to get something for it is a bonus! i will have less than 1k in the motor,bell,and rear of this car.i do need to make panels, and paint it, but thats it. best part is it fits in my man cave, so how many guys have a tad in their livingroom? beat that!
