Well, I FINALLY had a chance to work on MY car for a change (never been this busy....ever!) This is a stack injected, old school Arias, cool looking thing....fired right up (good job Spud) Sounded simply bad-ass, snappy, nasty, deep roar......heard a cylinder drop (saw it in the pipe too) had Tari shut it off, pulled the cover and EVERY Intake push rod was burnt....but the EX were fine???!!! Had 160psi Oil Pres....but it also looked REAL dry under the covers too???? HELP!!!!! My ears are open! Hey Trev..did ya get yours fired yet?

    Hey Tim,

I'd give Rick at Fontana a call. I'm sure he can help you sort it out.

Did you take any video? Would love to see it if you did.

    Steve

Talk to Steve quite a bit during the initial build...we are missing "something" here, probably simple and stupid but want to "fix" it before firing again cuz it aint going anywhere like this! Thanx all

    check my strickstion

check to see if somebody put a solid plug in the oil restriction hole, or if the restrictor in the middle bottom head stud is plugged. have to pull the head and gasket to see it, but maybe something got in there. crank the motor over without it, and youll know right away if oil is getting up there ! also, if you have the old school stands that somebody has added the spacers to the bottom to correct the valvetrain geometry, look at that area to see if maybe the hole is too small for the stud clearance? one more idea could be that there was a bunch of junk adjusters out there that were cheap, but real bad quality. check to see if these are the good ones or not. just some thoughts, also rick and fontana in indy is making these things, and he is a good souce of info. dan http://www.fontana-automotive.com/

Thanks all, this "old" Arias stuff is "new" to me....The stands do have apx. .200" spacer under them?! Gold stands if that means anything? I have some older blue stands but the geometry is WAY off w/those?! Adjuster were NEW Manton w/oilers...I have used these on all mt conventional Hemis and they are NOT the issue (I'll be ordering more this week) Being Sonday, don't really want to bother anyone till tomorrow, but as I mentioned...my ears are open!

Well, we did some "investtgative disassembly" last night...it is real "dry" under the covers.....at the top center stud (the oiler) we did find a VERY small restrictor on each side.....I mean SMALL?! We pulled these out, re-assembled (man this Arias is easier to work on than a conventional Hemi!) and are goig to spin for oil to see what we get up to the top....Don't know if this is the answer, but thanks for all the replys:cool:

    Uncle Tim

    Hey uncle Tim,

Just get that thing to the track already :)
    Couldn't help myself...

No my Total Flow heads that I bought had some issues so I'm waiting on a refund. Also the tryout at Rage fuel systems got canceled so I'm heading to Boston, MA for work. Apparently the economy is great but I still have to travel at least 4 states to get a $9 per hour job to survive, the good news is if I go clear up the NE coast I get $12 per hour plus travel pay.

I had to back burner the car but am hoping to be out for the snowbird nationals.

Been keeping busy tuning on a friends Top Dragster to keep me entertained. We ran a 6.29 so far w/ a 23 degree bbc and my old LF K8 blower w/ no timing, no fuel management, low launch rpm, and only 38 percent over. I'm trying to get it to run 6.0s

E-mail me a pic or 2 of the new ride Tim.
