BBC Sum,er Bros drive

    On the Front fount drive should you run an oil line to it or is "splash" from the gear drive enough.

    Have seen both and ours is not drilled for it.

    summer bro

    we burned up a dist gear dry and ran a -3 oil line with jet drilled the smallest hole possible. Worked good after that.

    Take a small drill bit and drill a hole in the oil main oil gallery plug in the front of the block.
    (I can get you the actual size bit, but it is about the smallest one that you can drill without breaking it with a standard hand held drill. :cool:)

    You can buy the plugs pre-drilled !

    We have a spare oil feed of the system one oil filter (was used for oiling hemi top end). How do you mount the jet?

    I welded the -3 fitting shut and drilled it. We had a LOT of topend oiling issues back then so I didn't dare pull oil from the lifter galley.
